The Blush Shades Taking Over Spring 2026

Spring and summer makeup always brings blush back into the spotlight, but this year it feels bigger than ever. Skin is lighter, base makeup is fresher, and blush has officially become the thing pulling a look together.
Not just one blush either. People are layering creams with powders, mixing tones, taking colour higher on the cheeks, across the nose, even into the temples. The “blush blindness” jokes are everywhere right now, but honestly? A good blush placement can completely change your face in the best way.
The biggest trend this season is colour. Soft pinks, warm peaches, rich berries and even bright reds are having a moment. Instead of hiding behind bronzer-heavy makeup, blush is becoming the focus again.
And personally, I’m very into it.

Pink Blushes: The Soft Girl Favourite
Pink blush always comes back for spring, but this year it’s less icy baby pink and more healthy, radiant flush. Think fresh skin, glossy lips, fluffy brows, and cheeks that actually look alive.
The best thing about pink blush is how versatile it is. Soft cool pinks give that clean girl effect, while brighter pinks feel playful and slightly more editorial without being hard to wear.
My Recommendations as an MUA:
· MORPHE: Cheek Thrills Multi-Finish Face Trio - Apres-Ski
· MILANI COSMETICS: Baked Blush - Dolce Pink
· CHARLOTTE TILBURY: Beauty Highlighter Wand - Pinkgasm
· RARE BEAUTY: Soft Pinch Liquid Blush - Happy
· MAKEUP BY MARIO: Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil - Pinch Me
· KYLIE COSMETICS: Pressed Blush Powder - 336 Winter Kissed
· HUDA BEAUTY: Blush Filter Liquid Blush - Bubblegum
· NYX: Buttermelt Blush - 02 Butta Together

Pink blush works especially well with lighter coverage bases because it lets the skin still show through underneath. If your makeup starts looking flat in warmer weather, blush is usually the thing missing.
Peach Blushes: The Ultimate Summer Shade
If I had to pick one blush tone for summer makeup, it would probably be peach. It suits nearly everyone, warms up the skin instantly, and gives that slightly sun-touched look without needing loads of bronzer.
Peach tones also sit beautifully with golden highlight, faux freckles, glossy lips and bronzed eyes. Very effortless holiday makeup energy.
My Recommendations as an MUA:
TOO FACED: Cloud Crush Blush - Tequila Sunset
MADE BY MITCHELL: Liquid Blursh - Peach Sugar
RARE BEAUTY: Soft Pinch Liquid Blush - Joy
HUDA BEAUTY: Blush Filter Liquid Blush - Peach Sorbet
NYX: Buttermelt Blush - 05 Had Butta
RHODE: Pocket Blush - Freckle
HAUS LABS: Color Fuse Talc-Free Blush Powder - Pomelo Peach
MAKEUP BY MARIO: Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil - Just Peachy

Peach blush is also probably the easiest place to start if you’re nervous about stronger blush colours.
Berry Blushes: The Unexpected Trend That Actually Works
Berry blush normally comes back around autumn, but this spring/summer version feels softer and fresher. Instead of heavy wine tones, people are using sheer berry shades with glowy skin and minimal eye makeup.
The result looks expensive. Slightly romantic. Slightly editorial.
My Recommendations as an MUA:
· FENTY BEAUTY: Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush - Summertime Wine
· KYLIE COSMETICS: Hybrid Blush - Slow Jam
· MORPHE: Cheek Thrills Multi-Finish Face Trio - Wine & Dine
· RHODE: Pocket Blush - Date Cake
· CHARLOTTE TILBURY: Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick - Berry Glow
· VIEVE: Sunset Blush - Malbec
· MERIT BEAUTY: Flush Balm Cream Blush - Apres
· THE BEAUTY CROP: Glow Milk Luminous Powder Blush - Blinging

Berry blush layered lightly across the cheeks and nose is very model-off-duty right now.
Red Blushes: The Trend Everyone Was Scared Of
A year ago most people would’ve avoided red blush completely. Now? It’s everywhere.
And honestly, when red blush is done properly, it doesn’t actually look red on the skin. It gives the most realistic flush out of every colour category.
My Recommendations as an MUA:
· MADE BY MITCHELL: Liquid Blush - Cherry Cola
· PATRICK TA: Major Headlines Duo - She Left Me on Red
· MILK MAKEUP: Lip + Cheek Stick - Muse
· REVOLUTION: Blusher Reloaded - Pop My Cherry
· CHARLOTTE TILBURY: Beautiful Skin Lip and Cheek Glow - Pinched
· GLOSSIER: Cloud Paint Blush - Spark
· FENTY BEAUTY: Suede Powder Blush - Daquiri Dip
· RHODE: Pocket Blush - Candy Apple

The key with red blush is balance. Keep the skin natural, avoid heavy contour, and let the colour do the work.
Why Is Blush So Trendy?
After years of ultra-matte full coverage makeup, people want makeup to feel fun again. Blush adds life back into the face instantly, especially with the more skin-focused makeup looks dominating TikTok and Instagram right now.
It also photographs beautifully in natural lighting, which is exactly why these trends keep taking off online.
Cream formulas are still leading because they melt into the skin more naturally, but powder blush definitely isn’t disappearing. Most people are layering both for longevity and extra dimension.
And truthfully, there are no real rules anymore. Pink with peach, berry with red, glossy finishes, blurred finishes, over-blushing slightly on purpose. Makeup feels more expressive again instead of perfectly sculpted.
Which is probably why blush has become the product of the season.
If there’s one makeup product worth experimenting with this spring/summer, it’s blush. It changes the entire mood of your makeup without needing loads of products or complicated techniques.
Whether you love soft pinks, warm peaches, deeper berries or bold reds, the main trend right now is looking fresh, healthy and slightly sun-flushed rather than overly perfected.
And honestly? Makeup looks a lot more interesting because of it.
